Born in Bury St. Edmunds, West Suffolk, England, on October 26, 1942, Bob Hoskins was a British actor and film director. He passed away on April 29, 2014, as a result of pneumonia complications. He was 71.

Before beginning his acting career at the Unity Theater in 1969, Bob worked a number of menial jobs after dropping out of school at the age of 15. He immediately began to make appearances in a number of British movies and TV shows before expanding to foreign markets.
He had appearances in “Rainbow,” “Michael,” “The Secret Agent,” “Cousin Bette,” and “Twenty Four Seven” in the second part of the 1990s. He received the European Film Award for Best Actor for the latter movie.

In 2011, Parkinson’s disease was identified in Hoskins. In August 2012, he finally decided to stop performing.
He passed away from pneumonia on April 29, 2014, at the age of 71, in a hospital in London. His four children, Linda, his wife, and them all remain.
