Boris Yeltsin, in full Boris Nikolayevich Yeltsin, was a Russian politician who became president of Russia in 1990. Boris Yeltsin served as the president of Russia from 1991 until 1999. In 1991 he became the first popularly elected leader in the country’s history, guiding Russia through a stormy decade of political and economic retrenching until his resignation on the eve of 2000.

He was born on February 1, 1931, in Sverdlovsk [now Yekaterinburg], Russia, U.S.S.R. and died on April 23, 2007, in Moscow, Russia). Yeltsin was perceived at varying times as a folk hero, as a symbol of Russia’s struggle to establish a democracy, and as a dictatorial figure (an all-powerful ruler).

Tatyana Borisovna Yumasheva

Tatyana Borisovna Yumasheva (née Yeltsina) was born on January 17, 1960. She is the younger daughter of former Russian President, Boris Yeltsin and his wife, Naina Yeltsina.

Tatyana was married to Alexey Dyachenko, a businessman who was recently made the CEO of Urals Energy, which is a company under investigation by the Putin government as of 2008. Later in 2001, she married her fellow presidential adviser, Valentin Yumashev.

It has been reported that she along with her husband and their daughter have been Austrian citizens since 2009.

Elena Borisovna Okulova

Elena Okulova is the eldest daughter of Boris Yeltsin. She was born in 1957.

Unlike her sister, Elena is focused on her home and family. Since the end of the 1990s, her husband, Valery Okulov, was the head of the Board of Directors of Aeroflot OJSC – Russian International Lines. He is the Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia under Vladimir Putin’s rule.

Elena has two daughters, Catherine, Maria and a son, Ivan. Elena Borisovna Okulova (Yeltsin) lives her life away from the prying eyes of the public.
