The well-known bassist and co-founder of the Dallas rock group New Bohemians, Brad Houser, passed away. He was a wonderful man, a superb musician, and a creative educator. Houser has always had a deep passion for music. He was born and raised in Dallas, Texas.
Brad House was a founding member of the band known as the New Bohemians, which eventually went by the name Edie Brickell & New Bohemians and gained notoriety for their 1988 hit “What I Am.”

Then, among other bands, Brad established Dead Kenny G’s and Critters Buggin. Brad received a Buddy Magazine Texas Bass Tornado in 1987, and he also participated in the Buddy Magazine Texas Tornado advisory board and assisted in selecting the class of 2022 Tornados for guitar and bass.
