He grew up in a tough household. His father was a drug addict. His mum Shani raised him. Brady told the Winnipeg Sun that his mother, Shani, has made several sacrifices for the family.
“My mom’s my ‘Why’ in life,” the 21-year-old said. “If you don’t have a ‘Why’ in life, what are you doing? You have to have something that wakes you up in the morning. What’s going to get you out of bed? What’s going to make you focus, sacrifice a lot of things?
Oliveira honours his mother, Shani, with a tattoo on his right arm, featuring a drawing of her eye, with her birthday stencilled above it, in Roman Numerals.

Brady added that he also wants to build a relationship with his father. “The older I get, it is important to have a relationship with both parents,” Oliveira said.
“He’s clean for a bit now, which is really good. I’ve been praying for him a lot. We’ve grown in our faith together and have had lots of great talks.”
