Along with fellow singers Fischetti and Rich Cronin, Gillis founded the pop-R&B trio in 1995. Their debut songs included adaptations of “If I Can’t Have You” by Yvonne Elliman and “Step by Step” by the New Kids on the Block.

Later, before the group’s self-titled first album was released in August 1999, singer Gillis left the group, and singer Devin Lima took over.

LFO only has one surviving member, and that is Fischetti. Cronin passed away at the age of 36 from complications associated with graft-versus-host disease in September 2010, while Lima passed away at the age of 41 from cancer in November 2018.
