Burna Boy’s Twice As Tall battled it out with Antibalas (FU Chronicles), Bebel Gilberto (Agora), Anoushka Shankar (Love Letters), and Tinariwen (Amadjar) to emerge the winner. The win marks Burna Boy’s first Grammy Award after being nominated last year.

Burna Boy’s album is now the first Nigerian album to win a Grammy and the first Afrobeat album to win. This is the second time Burna Boy got a nomination in this category after losing to iconic Angelique Kidjo during last year’s ceremony. Considering the praise Twice As Tall has received, a lot of people predicted Burna Boy’s win.
