The American football player Cameron Rising plays as a quarterback for the Utah Utes.
A native of Ventura, California, Rising attended Newbury Park High School, where he played football. During that time, he was rated a four-star recruit by 247Sports.
Following high school, Rising committed to the University of Texas at Austin to play college football.
He redshirted at Texas in 2018 and was named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll in the spring of 2018.
Rising then transferred to the University of Utah in 2019. He redshirted the first year at Utah and played one game in 2020 before suffering an injury that kept him out for the season.

In the 2021 season, he saw action in 13 games, started 11 games and was a member of the Pac-12 All-Conference first team. He threw for over 2400 yards and had twenty-six total touchdowns.
In 2022, Cameron Rising started 12 games recording 2,939 passing yards on 241-of-364 passing (7 INT, 25 TDs), adding 68 rushes for 409 yards (6 TDs) and one reception for nine yards.
Rising is projected as an undrafted free agent in the 2023 NFL Draft.
