Cardi B Hit with $50 Million Copyright Infringement Lawsuit

Well-known American rapper Cardi B is currently making headlines following a lawsuit filed against her for alleged copyright infringement.

Two singers from Texas and Oklahoma filed a lawsuit against Cardi B, claiming that she used their material in her song “Enough (Miami)” without obtaining a proper license.

It’s important to note that Cardi B’s single “Enough (Miami)” was a commercial success, reaching the top ten after its release in March.

According to insiders, Miguel Aguilar, also known as Kemika 1956, and Joshua Fraustro, or Sten Joddi, have alleged that Cardi B and her production team incorporated parts of their 2021 song “Greasy Frybread” into her track.

CarThe plaintiffs have pointed out that their song was even utilized as a promotional tool for the FX series “Reservation.”

In addition to Cardi B, this lawsuit names Atlantic Records, Warner Music Group, and producers OG Parker and DJ SwanQo as co-defendants.

Interestingly, the plaintiffs released “Greasy Frybread” about three years before Cardi B released “Enough (Miami)” on March 15, 2024.
