The rock group Red Hot Chili Peppers’ drummer since 1988 is American musician Chad Smith (born October 25, 1961). 2012 saw the group’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Smith is also the drummer for the 2007-founded all-instrumental combo Chad Smith’s Bombastic Meatbats as well as the hard rock supergroup Chickenfoot. He collaborated with the Chicks on the album Taking the Long Way, which was nominated for five Grammys in 2007.

Chad Smith children: Meet Ava Maybee Cardoso Smith
Smith has had two marriages. Smith had a daughter named Manon (born in 1997) with Maria St John, with whom he was married from 1996 to 1997.
Through past partnerships, he also has two further children: Justin Smith, a musician, was born in 1998, and Ava Maybee Cardoso Smith, a singer, was born in 2001.
Smith wed Nancy Mack, an architect, in 2004. They have three kids together, who were born in 2005, 2009, and 2012. In California’s Malibu, the family resides.
