Charles and Rebecca are proud parents to two children, a son, Frederick, born in 2016, and a daughter, Matilda, born in 2014. Their journey to parenthood has been shaped by profound moments of happiness and profound loss.

Before Matilda’s arrival, the couple faced the devastating loss of their newborn son, Tommy, who was stillborn in 2012. The experience was undoubtedly a challenging and emotional chapter for the family.

The joy of Frederick’s birth brought renewed optimism and blessings to Charles and Rebecca. In an interview with Staffordshire Live, Charles expressed his gratitude and happiness, stating, “After losing Tommy, who was born asleep in September 2012, we were overjoyed to have Matilda, who was born in 2014, and who has a calm and relaxed nature, just like my wife.”

The resilience and love within the Hanson-Ludlam family have been evident in their ability to navigate through grief and celebrate the precious moments of joy that come with new additions to the family.

Life’s busyness is momentarily set aside for family walks in the serene countryside around their home—a simple joy that Charles cherishes.
