Chelsea has finalized a permanent deal with Atletico Madrid for their young winger Joao Felix, whose future was uncertain till a few hours ago.

The Portuguese forward is set to sign a six-year contract with the Blues, with an option for an additional year which will be dependent on a number of factors.
This agreement frees up funds for Atletico Madrid, enabling them to pursue the long-awaited £36 million transfer of Chelsea’s out-of-favor player Conor Gallagher.

Gallagher had spent five days in Madrid as part of the potential move but returned to London when Chelsea’s deal for Samu Omorodion fell through.
Atletico Madrid was reportedly impressed with Conor Gallagher during his time in Spain, further solidifying their interest in the England midfielder.
Now, with Chelsea securing Joao Felix, Atletico Madrid is expected to proceed with the signing of Gallagher, bolstering their midfield options ahead of the new season.
