Chris Bailey was the co-founder and singer of rock band The Saints.

Chris Bailey was born in Nanyuki, Kenya to Irish parents and grew up in Belfast, Northern Ireland until the age of seven, when his family emigrated to Australia.
Chris Bailey co-founded The Saints in high school in Brisbane in 1973 with bandmates Ed Kuepper and Ivor Hay.
The band paved the way for Australia’s punk rock scene, and their 1977 hit Stranded is still regarded as one of the greatest songs of the genre.
After several years of solo adventure, Chris Bailey revived The Saints to record Howling in 1996.

This album was followed by Everybody Knows the Monkey (1998), Spit the Blues Out (2002), Nothing is Straight in My House (2005), Imperious Delirium (2006) and “King of the Sun” (2012-Australia, 2013-Europe) which were all recorded under the name of The Saints.
Sadly, Chris Bailey died on Saturday (April 9, 2022), the band announced in a statement on Monday morning.
‘It is with great pain in our hearts that we have to inform you about the passing of Chris Bailey, singer and songwriter of The Saints, on April 9, 2022,’ the group said.
Chris Bailey was very secretive about his personal life and as a result, there is no information available regarding his marital status.
