Cody Derek Latimer, an American football wide receiver with the Washington Redskins of the National Football League, was born on October 10, 1992. (NFL). In the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos selected him. At Indiana, he played collegiate football. He played with the New York Giants before joining the Denver Broncos for their victory over the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50.

He went to Jefferson Township High School, where he excelled in baseball, basketball, and track. Latimer attended Indiana University from 2011 to 2013. During his career, he started 24 of 32 games with 135 receptions for 2,042 yards and 17 touchdowns. After his junior season, he declared for the 2014 NFL Draft.

He made his professional regular season debut in the Denver Broncos season-opening 31-24 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. Head coach John Fox chose to play Isaiah Burse for his improved punt return abilities, and Latimer was listed as a healthy scratch for the fifth time in a row (Weeks 2-7). In Week 10, Latimer caught his first career reception on a nine-yard pass from quarterback Peyton Manning as the Broncos defeated the Oakland Raiders 41-17. The following week, he was listed as inactive as the St. Louis Rams defeated the Broncos 22-17.
He caught a season-long 14-yard pass against the Oakland Raiders on December 28, 2014. In eight games and zero starts, he finished his rookie season with two receptions for 23 yards and two kick returns for 22 yards. Latimer admitted to having difficulty digesting the playbook and taking too long to adjust to the pro game during his rookie season.
The Denver Broncos signed Latimer to a four-year, $3.70 million contract on June 2, 2014, with $2.02 million guaranteed and a $1.01 million signing bonus.
