American college basketball player Coleman Hawkins plays for the Illinois Fighting Illini of the Big Ten Conference.
A native of Antelope, California, Hawkins attended Antelope High School where played for the school basketball team for two seasons before transferring to Prolific Prep in Napa, California.
Hawkins then enrolled at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to play collegiate basketball for Illinois Fighting Illini.

Hawkins played in 25 games on the season and averaged 1.4 points per game as a freshman.
Throughout his second season, he played in all 33 games with 14 starts and became sixth on the team in scoring at 5.3 ppg and third in rebounding with 4.3 RPG.
As a junior, Hawkins averaged 9.9 points and a team-high 6.3 rebounds per game on the season before declaring for the 2023 NBA draft while maintaining his eligibility.
