Is Colin Beattie married?
Colin Beattie is married to former Midlothian Council leader, Lisa Beattie.
Beattie worked an as international banker across the Middle East and Asia for over two decades. He has been the Member of Scottish Parliament for the Midlothian North and Musselburgh constituency since 2011.

In 2007, he was elected to represent Midlothian South in the Midlothian Council election and was the Scottish National Part (SNP) Leader on the council. He won the parliamentary election in 2011 and regained his seat in 2016.
He was also the SNP National Treasurer from 2004 to 2020. He was defeated by Douglas Chapman in the 2020 election but resumed office again when Chapman resigned in May 2021.
Battie was selected as an unopposed candidate for the 2021 Scottish Parliament election and retained his seat . He was arrested on April 18, 2023, in matters relating to investigations of funds in the SNP.
