Born August 7, 1999, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, McLaughlin commenced her athletic journey at an early age.
After winning the 2015 World youth champion, McLaughlin went on to compete in the Rio 2016, emerging as the youngest athlete to qualify for the USA track team since 1980 at age 16.
