Country music star Colt Ford suffered a heart attack following his performance at Dierks Bently’s Whiskey Row in Gilbert on Thursday night, April 4, 2024.

Ford, who was scheduled to perform in New Mexico the following day, is currently receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, according to a spokesperson.

Reports indicate that Ford has a history of health issues, including eye cancer and Myasthenia Gravis, an autoimmune disease that affects muscle control. In a 2023 interview with Taste of Country, Ford discussed his struggles with the disorder, which primarily affected his vision.
The Georgia-born singer-songwriter is renowned for his contributions to country music, including his original recording of Jason Aldean’s hit song “Dirt Road Anthem.”
