On Monday, it was officially announced that the former Scotland manager had passed away in a hospital. Tributes poured in after the sad announcement. Brown began his head coaching career at Clyde before becoming the under-21 manager of Scotland.

When he took over as manager of the senior team after Andy Roxburgh, he made history by leading them to Euro ’96 and then securing a spot at the World Cup in France two years later. Even though it was Scotland’s final tournament appearance, his team couldn’t advance from a group that also contained Brazil, Norway, and Morocco.
