Cree Summer Husband: Meet Angelo Pullen

Angelo Pullen is a producer and writer who has worked on several films and television shows, including Queen & Slim (2019), Evelyn x Evelyn (2019), and Dead Realm (2015). He is also the ex-husband of actress Cree Summer.

Pullen was born in Los Angeles, California, in 1974. He attended the University of Southern California, where he studied film production. After graduating, he worked as a production assistant on several films and television shows.

In 2005, Pullen co-wrote and produced the short film “The 5th Beatle,” which starred Summer. The film was well-received, and it led to Pullen being hired as a producer on the television series “Everybody Hates Chris.”

Summer was born in Los Angeles, California, to Canadian actor and singer Don Francks and Lili Red Eagle, an African American from North Richmond, California, and adopted member of the Plains Cree First Nations. She grew up in Saskatchewan and Toronto, Canada. Summer has Cree, French, and German ancestry.

Summer began her acting career in the early 1980s, appearing in television shows such as The Facts of Life and Diff’rent Strokes. She made her voice acting debut in 1983, voicing Penny in the animated series Inspector Gadget.

Summer went on to voice numerous other characters in animated television series and films, including Elmyra Duff in Tiny Toon Adventures, Susie Carmichael in Rugrats, Foxxy Love in Drawn Together, and Kida in Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

Summer has also had a successful career as a singer. She released her debut album, Street Faërie, in 1993. Her second album, Revelation Sunshine, was released in 2001. Summer is a vocal advocate for social justice. She has spoken out against racism, sexism, and homophobia. She is also a supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement.
