Lee was born on October 21, 1992, and attended Calvert Hall College High School in Towson, Maryland, Drexel university and Louisville.

Lee’s collegiate career with the Drexel Dragons records 12 points averages and 4.4 rebounds, as a point guard in his freshman season.
He played his final collegiate season at Louisville and in 2018, the Golden State Warriors signed him into a two-way contract and re-signed him the following year on another two-way contract.
In 2022, Lee won an NBA championship with the Golden State Warriors in 2022.
In the same year, Lee was signed by the Phoenix Suns.
