Daniel Alfredsson is a Swedish former professional ice hockey player.
Born on December 11, 1972, in Gothenburg, Sweden, Daniel spent 18 seasons in the NHL, playing for Frölunda HC, the Ottawa Senators and the Detroit Red Wings.
He played between 1992-2014 as right wing before he retired in 2014.
Daniel was captain of his team when he played with the Senators, recording 426 goals, 682 assists and 1108 points in 1,178 games.

His international playing record shows he played for Sweden 14 times, and took home the 2006 gold medal and 2014 silver medal.
Daniel was the 75th player to reach 1,000 career points in the NHL, and as a result of his achievements, Carleton University honoured him with a degree in 2014.
In 2022, Daniel was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Upon retirement, the Ottawa Senators absorbed him as senior advisor of hockey operations.
