On May 15, 2022, Ward made his first Premier League appearance for Leicester and his first overall since 2016 as the Foxes beat Watford 5-1 at Vicarage Road. Ward became Leicester’s first-choice keeper for the 2022-23 season after Schmeichel’s departure to Nice.
