After a successful collegiate career with the Texas Tech Red Raiders, Ham was signed by the Denver Nuggets as a free agent on October 1, 1996.
His playing career saw him win several championships. His 8 seasons in the NBA shows a record of 417-games played, 2.7 points average, 2.3 rebounds and 1.8 fouls in 12.4 minutes.
Upon retirement, Ham has coached Albuquerque Thunderbirds, New Mexico Thunderbirds, Los Angeles Lakers, Atlanta Hawks, Milwaukee Bucks, and Los Angeles Lakers.
Ham began his coaching career in 2008 and in 2022, he became the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers.
