David Michael Zaslav, an American media executive, was born on January 15, 1960, and is presently the CEO and President of Warner Bros. Discovery.

In order to join AT&T and Discovery with WarnerMedia and become the combined Warner Bros. Discovery in April 2022, Zaslav oversaw the transaction.

Zaslav’s executive compensation plan consists of a $3 million salary plus a $22 million bonus per year.

Zaslav’s contract renewal also included stock options for $190 million, elevating his salary to that of one of the industry’s highest-paid executives.

Prior to April 8, 2022, when Discovery, Inc. amalgamated with WarnerMedia, he held the positions of president and chief executive officer of Discovery, Inc.

NBC hired Zaslav in 1989.  He negotiated for the cable and satellite carriage of NBCUniversal networks and created media alliances while serving as president of Cable and Domestic TV and New Media Distribution.
