Davido, the renowned Nigerian musician, has opened up about the true secret behind his remarkable success in the music industry.

Contrary to common assumptions, he revealed that his father’s wealth did not pave the way for his achievements.

Speaking on the American podcast “Business Untitled,” Davido emphasized that his path to success was not aided by his family’s financial status.

He pointed out that there are individuals from even more affluent backgrounds who have not attained the level of success he has reached.

Acknowledging the challenges he faced initially due to his father’s wealth, Davido asserted that his talent and dedication ultimately earned him recognition.

Reflecting on his journey, Davido highlighted the importance of values and talent in his success story.

In Davido’s own words: “There are many billionaires in Nigeria, even richer than my father… And there are people [billionaire’s children] who have tried to do what I have tried to do: music, entertainment, business. But mine has been successful because of my values.

The biggest challenge I had when I started music was that my father is wealthy. But I got accepted for one reason and that reason is that I am good, talented. I don’t think I would have ever been accepted if I wasn’t good at what I do.”
