Devon Achane is an American football running back who currently plays for the Texas A&M Aggies. He was born on October 13, 2001, and went to Thurgood Marshall High School in Missouri City, Texas.

Achane rushed for 2,097 yards and scored 38 touchdowns in high school. He also competed in track and field, and he was named the 2020 Texas Gatorade Boys Track & Field Athlete of the Year. Achane opted to attend Texas A&M University and play college football.
Achane appeared in eight games as a backup to Isaiah Spiller in his debut year with the Texas A&M squad in 2020.

Despite his limited playing time, he rushed for 364 yards on only 43 carries and scored four touchdowns. Achane’s outstanding performance at the 2021 Orange Bowl earned him the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, as he carried for 140 yards and scored two touchdowns.

Achane returns to the team as Spiller’s backup in 2021. However, he proved to be an important member of the team when he was named SEC Special Teams Player of the Week for scoring a 96-yard kick return touchdown against Alabama, which was ranked first at the time.
