Bob Hurley, sometimes known as Robert Matthew Hurley, was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, on June 28, 1971.

He is the head coach of the Arizona State Sun Devils and a former professional basketball player from the United States. He was the University at Buffalo’s head coach before taking the job in which he now works.

Hurley excelled at the basketball while still in high school. His father, Bob Hurley Sr., was the coach at St. Anthony High School in Jersey City, where he participated in sports.

Hurley coached his team to four straight Parochial B state championships while he was at St. Anthony from 1985 to 1989.

His team finished with a 32-0 record, the school’s first Tournament of Champions victory, and the No. 1 ranking in the country thanks to his 20 points, 8 assists, and 3 steals a game as a senior.

Yes, Hurley was chosen seventh overall by the Sacramento Kings in the 1993 NBA Draft. Hurley was the point guard throughout the team’s whole high school tenure, and they amassed a stellar 115-5 record.
