Consequently, Copley felt a deep sense of disappointment, believing that John did not love her as she had initially thought. In response, she visited Stamos’ home to end their relationship. Copley recounted the conversation, saying, “I just said to him, ‘John, I don’t think we should see each other anymore.’” She acknowledged that her youth and inexperience hindered her ability to communicate the true reason behind her decision.

The alleged incident involving Tony Danza occurred a few days after this breakup, according to Copley. Her version of events differs from the description given by John Stamos in his memoir. She claimed that she came across an article in which Danza stated that Teri Copley was the only girl he had ever loved. Intrigued by this revelation, Copley reached out to Danza, who subsequently visited her at her house.
