He began working for CNN in 2006 as a correspondent and went on to become well-known as the host of Don Lemon Tonight from 2014 to 2022. He presently co-hosts CNN This Morning with Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins. Lemon has also won three regional Emmy Awards, an Edward R. Murrow Award, and a national Emmy Award.

Lemon began his career as a weekend news anchor for WBRC in Birmingham, Alabama, and WCAU in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was also a reporter and anchor for KTVI in St. Louis, Missouri. Lemon worked for NBC News in New York City, serving as a correspondent for both Today and NBC Nightly News, as well as an anchor on Weekend Today and MSNBC programs.
