Bruce Sudano is an American singer-songwriter who was married to American singer and songwriter Donna Summer at the time of her death.

Sudano and Donna Summer got married three years after their first meeting on July 16, 1980, at The Church on the Way in Los Angeles, California, by Pastor Jack Hayford.
Bruce Sudano and Summer later had two daughters. The couple’s first child, Brooklyn, was born in 1981 and was named after Sudano’s home borough in New York City. Amanda Grace, their second child, was born in 1982.

The family moved to Connecticut in 1991 and stayed for four years. They moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1995, keeping a second home in Naples, Florida, and later purchasing a third home in Manhattan, New York City.
Bruce Charles Sudano is best known for writing songs for Michael Jackson, Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, and his late wife, Grammy-winning singer Donna Summer. Sudano founded the independent record label Purple Heart Recording Company.
