Born in Mansfield, Texas, on June 1, 1998, Drake Milligan started his career as a child actor when he was influenced by his father, James Milligan who is a country music enthusiast. Drake Milligan performed as an Elvis Presley impersonator at a local show when he was young.

He received a casting call from CMT to play the role of Elvis Presley in their TV series Sun Records. The part required him to move from Texas to Nashville, Tennessee.
Milligan also competed in America’s Idol in 2018 but eventually dropped out of the competition.
“I decided that I wasn’t quite ready for that platform yet and that it would be a better step for me to move to Nashville and focus on my music first,” he said.
He released his debut album Dallas/Forth Worth on September 15, 2022.
