American collegiate baseball outfielder for the LSU Tigers, Dylan Crews was born on February 26, 2002.

Crews attended Lake Mary High School, where he played baseball for four years on the varsity team. He was born and raised in the Central Florida region. He was a top Major League Baseball (MLB) draft prospect coming out of high school, but he withdrew his name from consideration in favor of enrolling at LSU.

In his first year at the university, Crews earned media recognition and placed highly on a number of Southeastern Conference hitting leaderboards. In his sophomore season, he was voted co-SEC Player of the Year and was unanimously selected to the first team of All-Americans. Crews played baseball for the American collegiate national team for two years.
