Dylan Marie Dreyer is an American television meteorologist working for NBC News. She is also an anchor on Today’s 3rd Hour. Dreyer frequently appears on Today on weekdays as a weather correspondent and as a fill-in for Al Roker and Carson Daly.

She also appears on The Weather Channel and on NBC Nightly News. Dreyer joined NBC News in September 2012 after having worked at the now-former NBC station WHDH in Boston, Massachusetts since 2007.
Dreyer has worked at WICU in Erie, Pennsylvania; WJAR in Providence, Rhode Island; and WHDH in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dreyer was in a car crash while en route to cover a blizzard Today on February 9, 2013, she suffered a mild concussion.
In addition to her meteorological duties, Dreyer is the host of the NBC educational nature program Earth Odyssey with Dylan Dreyer broadcast on The More You Know block of programming on NBC.

Dylan Dreyer was born on August 2, 1981, in Manalapan, New Jersey, USA. She was born as Dylan Marie Dreyer to father Jim Dreyer and mother Linda Dreyer.

She is not the only child of her parents and has two siblings – brothers Mike Dreyer and James Dreyer.
Jim was a working father but made it a point to stay home for the kids on regular occasions. Linda according to Dreyer was an adventurous woman who loved to travel all over the world.
She learned a thing or two from both individuals giving her a better sense at life than any other journalist in her circle.
Dylan has had quite an impressive career thus far. After graduating from Rutgers University in 2003 with a Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, she’s built an extraordinary resume.
Over the years, she’s worked for smaller entities WICU in Erie, PA, and WJAR in Providence, RI before heading to NBC News in 2012.
Today, she’s mostly the weekend anchor of Weekend Today in rotation with Sheinelle Jones, and she also works for MSNBC on weekends and The Weather Channel.
In addition, she often appears on Today during the week to fill in as a weather correspondent for both Al Roker and Carson Daly.
