El Mencho Children: Meet Rubén Oseguera, Jessica Johanna Oseguera González, And Laisha Michelle Oseguera González

Jessica Johana, Laisha, and Rubén Oseguera González (alias “El Menchito) are the children of Mexican drug lord and leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), a trafficking group based in Jalisco, Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, commonly referred to by his alias El Mencho and his wife Rosalinda González Valencia.

Jessica Johana

Jessica Johana is married to Julio Alberto Castillo Rodríguez (alias “El Ojo de Vidrio”) and her husband was first arrested on 1 May 2015.

However, he was released on 1 July of the same year for lack of evidence, and was re-arrested again on 6 April 2016, for his involvement in the CJNG.

Then in In February 2020, Jessica Johana, who was 33 at the time, and popularly known as “La Negra” was arrested in Washington D.C. when she went to see her brother Ruben who was extradited in the US for drug trafficking.

Jessica was charged with engaging in transactions or dealings in properties with businesses blacklisted by the Treasury Department and providing financial support to the CJNG.

She pleaded guilty on March 12, 2021, and on June 11 was sentenced to 21⁄2 years in prison.

Rubén Oseguera

Rubén, El Mencho’s only son was regarded by the Mexican government as the second-in-command in the CJNG prior to his arrest in 2014.

However, he was released from prison on several occasions for lack of evidence, but was re-arrested each time by the police for additional charges.

Laisha Michelle Oseguera González

Laisha Michelle Oseguera González is the youngest of the children of Nemesio Oseguera González ‘El Mencho’, leader and founder of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).

She was put on the radar of the Mexican authorities, after the kidnapping of two members of the Navy in Zapopan, a day after the arrest of her mother Rosalinda ‘N’.

A report by Mundonow indicates that Laisha Michelle Oseguera González, and her partner, Christian Fernando Gutiérrez Ochoa, ordered the kidnapping of the two members of the Marine Secretary (Semar).

Federal government sources indicated that the disappearance of the officers could be in retaliation for the re-apprehension of Rosalinda González Valencia, wife of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, El Mencho, which occurred a couple of hours before the kidnapping of the Navy officials.
