American actor, Bryshere Gray, who played Hakeem Lyon in Fox’s popular series, Empire, has been sentenced to 10 days in jail.

Gray, is said to have been slapped with the sentence after he pleaded guilty to felony aggravated assault.

He is said to gave been arrested for the charges last year, July 2020, after his wife complained that the actor had assaulted her for “several hours.”
He was arrested and charged with felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor assault, and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
Hours before Gray was in custody, officers are said to have responded to a call to assist a woman at a convenience store.

The woman flagged down a Good Samaritan for help and claimed her husband, Gray, assaulted her for several hours at their home. Police say the woman had numerous visible injuries on her body, and cops say she claimed Gray strangled her, causing her to temporarily lose consciousness.
While the woman was taken to a nearby hospital, police went to the couple’s home to try to contact Gray, but police say he refused to leave the home and barricaded himself inside.

Cops say after a SWAT team and crisis negotiators arrived, the standoff finally ended around 7 a.m. the next morning when Gray finally surrendered.
In addition to his jail, the 27-year-old is required to participate in a probation program for three years. He is also said to have been ordered to “pay restitution and also enroll in a domestic violence offender treatment.”
