England and Aston Villa forward Rachel Daly has announced her retirement from international football at the age of 32.

Daly, who boasts 84 caps for her country, played a pivotal role in England’s success at Euro 2022.
She made her final appearance for the national team in the 2-0 Euro 2025 qualifying victory over the Republic of Ireland on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.
Reflecting on her decision, Daly expressed both gratitude and sadness, stating, “While today is an extremely difficult day for me, it’s also one filled with reflection and immense gratitude. Playing for and representing England has been a privilege.”
Having debuted for England against Serbia in 2016 and scoring 16 goals during her international career, Daly played a significant role in England’s journey to win their first major trophy at Euro 2022.
Her versatility, energy, and commitment earned her praise from England manager Sarina Wiegman, who described her as an “incredible” part of the team’s history.
