Nicolas Knievel was born in Montana on October 3, 1939. He was raised in Butte, Montana with his brother Robert Knievel, by their grandparents; I.J. and Emma Knievel. Nick passed away Sunday, September 12, 2010, at age 70 in death place, Idaho. He was buried in a burial place, in Montana.

Nicolas Knievel married Rusty Ketelsen in Butte in 1958. They resided in Montana until 1973, then moved to Eugene, Oregon. Nic moved to Coeur d’Alene in 1997 where he lived the rest of his life.
Nicolas is preceded in death by his brother Robert; grandparents IJ & Emma; father R.E. Knievel of Butte, MT; and mother, Ann Keough of Reno, NV. Nicolas had one brother: Robert Craig Knievel.
Nicolas’s brother Robert Craig “Evel” Knievel was an American stunt performer and entertainer. Throughout his career, he attempted more than 75 ramp-to-ramp motorcycle jumps. Knievel was inducted into the Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 1999. He died of pulmonary disease in Clearwater, Florida, in 2007, aged 69.
