At Silverstone, red flags were deployed after Zhou Guanyu’s Alpha Romeo overturned a tire barrier at Turn 1.
Multiple drivers were involved in the crash, which caused two significant collisions, which caused Zhou’s Alpha Romeo to roll across the run-off area before flipping off the barriers. Thankfully, nobody suffered serious injuries.
According to a replay that was broadcast on ESPN, Pierre Gasly was squeezed in between George Russell and Zhou Guanyu at the time of the collision.
Russell’s Mercedes was consequently thrown into Zhou’s Alpha Romeo, resulting in a terrible collision.
