Felix Dolci Coach: Who Is Adrian Balan?

Adrian Balan is the coach of Félix Dolci, a Canadian male artistic gymnast. Dolci is the 2019 Junior World Champion on rings an he has been a member of the Canadian national team since 2017.

Much is not known about Balan. Balan is mostly in the background as his role is to ensure that Dolci excels. This makes it understandable as to why there’s little information on him.

Dolci was born in Saint-Eustache, Québec in 2002. He started gymnastics at the age of 6 at Laval Excellence, a gym in Laval, Québec, with his first competition coming in 2009 and, up to this day, has won over 200 medals and awards, including sports merits and other honors.

Dolci would have made his senior gymnastic career in 2020 bar the covid-19 pandemic as all gymnastics facilities where closed in Canada. As a result he had to spend four months training at home.

Due to strict travel restrictions, Dolci was not allowed to compete in any international competition until the 2021 FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup series. He competed at the World Cup in Koper, Slovenia, winning two bronze medals on vault and horizontal bar.

In July 2022, he was selected to compete at both the Pan American Championships and the Commonwealth Games.
