Outside of the United Kingdom, Joseph also played for various teams, including Honka, JYP 77, and HJK Helsinki in Finland, Racing Ghent in Belgium, and Tampa Bay Rowdies in the United States.
Francis Joseph eventually dropped into the English non-league, where he played for a number of clubs before transitioning to coaching in 1995.
Joseph changed clubs after leaving Barnet, playing for Slough Town, Wokingham Town, Leatherhead, Dulwich Hamlet, Chertsey Town, Walton & Hersham, and Chesham, among other English non-league teams.
Francis Joseph went back to Chertsey Town to work as a player coach in November 1995. Joseph had previously been a player for Wealdstone and later became their coach.
