Fuzzy Haskins was a singer from the United States. Fuzzy Haskins passed away at the age of 81. No cause of death has yet been shared.

Fuzzy Haskins’ former bandmates George Clinton and Bootsy Collins confirmed the news on March 17 2023,  sharing personal tributes to the performer.

Fuzzy Haskins was born in Elkins, West Virginia. He was a founding member of the groundbreaking and influential 1970s funk bands Parliament and Funkadelic, also known as Parliament-Funkadelic, and performed with The Parliaments in the 1950s and 1960s.

He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997, along with fifteen other members of Parliament-Funkadelic. He and Parliament-Funkadelic received Grammy Lifetime Achievement Awards in 2019.

Fuzzy Haskins began a solo career in the late 1970s, releasing his albums A Whole Nother Thang in 1976 and Radio Active in 1978. Haskins later joined an ’80s-era Funkadelic revival with some of his former bandmates. However, the singer soon found a new calling as a preacher and began recording gospel music.
