Galina Lukashenko is most known for being the wife of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko.

Galina Lukashenko is Belarus’ First Lady, and she married Alexander Lukashenko when she was 20 years old, in 1975. She was rarely seen in public with Alexander, even after their marriage.

On July 20, 1994, she became the first lady. Galina met her future husband, Alexander, while attending a high school in Ryzhkovichi village.

She traveled to Mogilev State University to further her education, and after completing her studies, she married Alexander in 1975.

Before joining the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee for Population Improvement in 1998, Galina worked as a kindergarten teacher.

She did not join her husband to the White House after he took office, preferring to stay in Shklow.

Galina and Alexander are rarely seen together in public, save when Alexander is on an official visit to Israel.

They haven’t lived or been seen together in almost three decades, despite the fact that they are still legally married.
