George died away earlier this week. He was best remembered for playing drag artist Dr. Evadne Hinge in the venerable BBC comedy Hinge and Bracket.

Cult Bobby Crush, a British performer and Benidorm actor announced George’s passing earlier today in a tribute on his social media.

George Logan’s friend Bobby said on Facebook: “RIP George Logan, also known as “Dr. Evadne Hinge” of “Hinge and Bracket.”

In 1989, we performed in panto together at the Theatre Royal Plymouth in this magnificent show. The news of his demise today makes me sad.

Fans and friends of George have sent dozens of more tributes on social media.

Millions of TV fans in the 1970s and 1980s were familiar with George and his co-stars Patrick Fyffe from the shows Hinge and Bracket.
