Gervon Dexter attended Lake Wales High School in Lake Wales, Florida. He was selected to the 2020 Under Armour All-American Game.
Gervon Dexter led Lake Wales Senior High to the 2019 FHSAA Class 5A Regional Finals and a 12-1 record. As a sophomore in 2021, Dexter started nine of 13 games, recording 50 tackles and 2.5 sacks.

In 2020, Gervon Dexter appeared in all 12 games of the season and finished his freshman season with 19 tackles (4 solo), 1.5 tackles-for-loss, and one interception.
Gervon Dexter made his collegiate debut during Florida’s season opener against Ole Miss on September 26, 2020, where he registered a tackle-for-loss and an interception with a four-yards return to give the Gators their first takeaway of the season.
Gervon Dexter is a three-year letter-winner as a defensive tackle and appeared in 38 games with 24 starts. Dexter is credited with 125 career tackles including 9.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks.
