Tiki Barber, an American retired professional football player, was a running back for the National Football League’s (NFL) New York Giants for ten seasons. He was born on April 7, 1975. He represented the University of Virginia in collegiate football. Barber spent his entire professional career with the Giants after being selected by them in the second round of the 1997 NFL Draft. At the conclusion of the 2006 NFL postseason, Barber announced his retirement from the league as the Giants’ all-time leading rusher and receiver. 2011 saw the induction of Barber into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame.

After finishing his playing career, Barber entered the national media scene, most notably as a correspondent for Sunday Night Football and Football Night in America on NBC’s The Today Show in 2007.

When Tiki was playing collegiate football at the University of Virginia, he met Ginny Cha, a publicist for fashion. Later on, she would become his first wife. Before getting married in 1999, they dated for some time. Their first child, a son named Atiim Kiambu Jr., was born in 2002. They became a family of four when their second child, Chase, was born two years later.
