Governor Ododo Signs Seven Bills into Law in a Single Day

Governor Usman Ododo has signed seven new bills into law, urging residents to embrace these changes and follow the new regulations to help advance Kogi State.

The laws cover various aspects critical to the state’s development.

The new laws include reforms to the Kogi Local Government Service Commission and the Kogi State Scholarship Board.

They also establish the Kogi Electricity Market and the Kogi State Electricity Regulatory Commission to enhance electricity generation and distribution, including renewable and non-renewable sources.

Another law sets up the Kogi State Anti-Corruption Agency, aiming to fight corruption more effectively.

The Kogi State Commodity Exchange, Export Promotion, and Market Development Agency Law is also enacted to boost the state’s economic activities.

Additionally, laws have been established for the Kogi State Information Technology Development Agency and urban planning.

Governor Ododo described these laws as essential for the people, stating they were created to benefit all residents directly.

He emphasized his commitment to transparency, accountability, and serving with a sense of responsibility. He believes these laws will drive Kogi State’s social and economic development.

Ododo stressed that his administration is dedicated to ensuring no one is above the law and that the state’s resources are used for the people’s benefit.
