Harrison Bader Parents: Meet Louis Bader, Janice Bader

Harrison Bader is a Major League Baseball center fielder for the New York Yankees (MLB).

Bader was born in the town of Eastchester, New York, in the village of Bronxville to Louis Bader and Janice Bader

Louis Bader, Bader’s father, is Jewish, and Janice, Bader’s mother, is Italian. His parents are both natives of Bensonhurst, Brooklyn.

His father is Verizon’s lead counsel in New York.  Sasha is his younger sister. Through his mother’s side, he is first cousins with Vampire Weekend bassist Chris Baio and a first cousin once removed with Happy Days and Charles in Charge actor Scott Baio.

Bader attended the Horace Mann School (’12) in the Bronx’s Riverdale neighborhood and played center field for the school’s baseball team.

He batted.500 with a.783 slugging percentage as a senior. He was named to the Rawlings Northeast All-Region First Team, first-team all-state, first-team all-city, and first-team all-region in 2012.

The Cardinals selected him in the third round of the 2015 MLB draft and he made his MLB debut with them in 2017.

Bader finished the 2021 season with 367 at bats over 103 games, slashing .267/.324/.460 with 16 home runs, 50 RBIs, 21 doubles, nine stolen bases, and 6 intentional walks (8th in the NL).
