Since the ITTF Challenge Series’ start in 2017, she has had the most success of any player. She can create strong spins on both wings more than other female players because of her height.
The Japanese girls’ team that won gold at the 2016 World Junior Table Tennis Championships included Hayata. In both girls’ doubles and mixed doubles, she received silver medals.
Together with Mima Ito, she took home the bronze medal in women’s doubles at the 2017 World Table Tennis Championships.
