The house was demolished in 1996, and soon after West was arrested and imprisoned. It is no longer in existence.

Unfortunately, 25 Cromwell Street is no longer available to dark tourists. It was demolished in 1996, two years after the Wests were apprehended.

It was eventually purchased by Gloucester City Council and replaced by a tree-lined path.

How many bodies were found at Cromwell Street?

The bodies of nine young women and one young man were found buried in the garden and under the floors of 25 Cromwell Street in Gloucester, England.

These victims were believed to have been murdered by Fred West and his wife Rosemary West between 1967 and 1987.

The discovery of the bodies at the Wests’ home led to one of the most high-profile and shocking criminal cases in British history.

Fred West was charged with 12 counts of murder, but he committed suicide while in custody before he could be tried. Rosemary West was convicted of 10 counts of murder in 1995 and was sentenced to life in prison.
