How old was Sierra Halseth when she killed her Father? Where is Sierra Halseth now?

Sierra Halseth was just 16 years old when she brutally murdered her father with her boyfriend Aaron Guerrero who was 18.

Sierra Halseth’s father Daniel Halseth was stabbed 70 times and his body was found dismembered and burned in April 2021. Sierra Halseth and Aaron Guerrero claimed Halseth abused and mistreated his daughter, but his family denied this.

Following the murder, the teens stole Halseth’s car and were apprehended in Salt Lake City, shortly after recording a video in which they claimed to have killed someone.

In the video, Guerrero was seen saying “Day three after murdering somebody” before Sierra replied not to say that on camera. “We were both trying to cope with what happened and we, I can’t say for Sierra, but personally I feel guilt every day,” Guerrero said.

 

 

Sierra did not apologise at her sentencing in October, whereas Guerrero did. Both teenagers admitted to the murder and were sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 22 years.

Sierra Halseth is currently incarcerated at North Las Vegas’ Florence McClure Women’s Correctional Centre.

Sierra Halseth is the daughter of Elizabeth Halseth, a former Republican state legislator. As their relationship crumbled, she and Daniel engaged in a public battle, and a custody battle over their children ensued.
